In 2005, my life unraveled all at once.
I was newly out of a broken engagement, I left my teaching career, packed up my dog and two bags, and moved to Sonoma to care for my mom as she faced Alzheimer’s.
I didn’t know who I was anymore… or where I was going.
Then, on a whim, I took a tarot class—
and everything shifted.
Tarot isn’t about predicting the future.
It’s about connection.
To yourself.
To your path.
To where you’ve been… and where you’re going.
And I realized—this is what so many of us are missing.
Even when we finally get away…
